Django Weekly - Issue #19 - 25/05/2011
Welcome to Django Weekly #19. We missed publishing last week - there simply wasn't enough content to fill an issue, and I don't want to waste anyone's time. Hopefully, we're back on track now. Enjoy!
1) DjangoCon US 2011 tickets available
While there isn't an official website yet, early-bird tickets are available for DjangoCon US 2011. I'm pretty sure these will go quick.
2) Running Django Apps on Nginx and uWSGI
I came across this post while doing some of my own research, but it's a great introduction to using uWSGI as an app server.
3) The state of eCommerce in Django
I missed this when it was published last month; it's a great rundown of the available Django e-commerce packages.
4) Django Testing: Test Organization and Some Best Practices
Despite the prominent typo, this is a really good set of slides.
1) mamona
"Mamona is a Django application for handling online payments. It can work with any existing setup without a need of changing other applications' models."
2) django-oscar
"django-oscar is a flexible ecommerce platform, designed to build domain-driven ecommerce sites to be constructed."
3) dogslow
"Dogslow is a Django request watchdog middleware class that logs tracebacks of slow requests."
